1000

Hard work and rain have kept me off the scooter for too long.  I finally said to hell with it and rode it in the rain today.  I was rewarded by bright beautiful sunshine this afternoon.  Did my usual ride but in reverse and remembered why I don't go that way (Sun in your eyes).  You may be able to tell, but the bike is new. I picked it up around August 1, 2010.  The title will tell you the benchmark set today.  I crossed the 1000 mile mark in little over a month and minus a few june bugs I have enjoyed every mile.  Now I'm just hoping Santa is going to bring me some new pipes for Christmas.

Next to the right tonight I am very happy to have both the NFL and NCAA football back.  Go Saints!

Good Hard Work

I have never been afraid to do some heavy lifting and put in a full days labor.  I spent my labor day weekend laboring.  While not my profession, I had a blast doing a little dirt work and carpentry.  At the end of the day (weekend) I was able to put my travel trailer on my land and completed a 250 sq ft deck on the front.

This was the first sunset enjoyed off my new deck.

Yesterday was a beautiful sunset, but I enjoyed it a little more having put in a lot of work!  To look through the turn, I remembered again that there are few things more satisfying than completing a project with your own two hands.  Your work should be honest, it shouldn't cause anger or stress to others needlessly, and if you are truly lucky it will serve your fellow man.  If you find yourself working under different terms, I hope like me you will fight to make your living in an honorable way.

Jerm, Phil, thanks for all your help.
